Excellent welcome and afternoon tea provided upon arrival. Room was clean and peaceful. Owners recommended sunset lookout. Good breakfast with extra touches. Great stay.

Floating above the stunning countryside, taking in the breathtaking views, was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The thrill of being up in the air, coupled with the peacefulness and serenity, made this hot air balloon ride truly enchanting. The 32-inch TV in our room was an added bonus, perfect for cozy movie nights with the family.

In my wife's opinion, it would have been great if there were more family-friendly activities available.

We had a wonderful stay at Grandhouse York Guesthouse. The host made us feel right at home as soon as we arrived. We enjoyed delicious homemade afternoon tea with cakes and coffee, and the host provided us with great recommendations for local attractions. The patio area was a relaxing spot to enjoy a few wines and play cards. The grounds were lovely, and waking up to the sound of birdsong was a delight. The breakfast selection was amazing, with homemade yogurt and spiced pears that were simply divine. Despite being managed by only one person during our visit, the service was outstanding. We can't wait to return to this B&B again. I highly recommend this hotel.

The Grandhouse York Guesthouse was a delightful place to stay. The decoration was charming and gave a cozy feeling, especially in the common areas. It felt like a home away from home. The access to the hotel was very convenient for seniors, with easy entry points and well-lit hallways. The friendly staff made sure everything was accessible and comfortable for us older folks.

The only thing I would have asked for to make it a better vacation for senior people is more assistance from the staff. While the young ones working there were polite, a little more support in carrying luggage or offering assistance with mobility would have been appreciated.

We especially enjoyed the sitting area and terrace, where we could relax and take in the beautiful surroundings. The breakfast was delicious and there were lots of little extra touches that made our stay even more enjoyable. we had a fantastic experience here, and we would definitely recommend it to our friends.

The hosts, Ron and Leanne, made us feel like extended family and were incredibly welcoming and informative. The well-equipped lounge area with complimentary evening sherry or port allowed us to relax and unwind. The breakfast delivered to our room was generous and delicious. The gardens and decor added to the lovely ambience of the place. a fantastic stay with lots of little unexpected added touches.

As someone who frequently travels by car, finding a comfortable and well-priced guesthouse close to the town centre can be challenging. However, this guesthouse exceeded all expectations. The rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated with comfortable beds, quality linen, and large bathrooms. The breakfast selection was extensive and delicious, with homemade treats like yoghurt and preserves. The location was convenient, either being a walk or short drive to the town centre or with views over the surrounding area. The well-maintained gardens and BBQ area were lovely to relax in after a day of exploring.

While the guesthouse provided many services and facilities for guests, the lack of a fitness centre may be a disadvantage for some travellers looking to stay active during their visit.

Great breakfast and welcoming staff. Our room was spacious and had fantastic natural light. The location was convenient and easily accessible by car. The free amenities, like the books and DVDs, were a nice touch and kept us entertained during our stay.

The room we were given was outdated, with worn out furniture and chipped paint. The bathroom wasn't very clean either.

The free WiFi was decent and the property had good proximity to key locations. Another advantage is that the breakfast was delicious and filling with a good selection of items!
